On Saturday we went to our first Guatemalan Adoption fiesta! We met some really great Oklahoma families, tons of beautiful "Guatlings", one amazing Romanian beauty, and two Ethiopian princesses. We weren't sure how long we would stay--it was dependant on the little man's behavior-- but since he had an audience and lots of new stuff to see and play with, we ended up being there for 5 hours! It was so much fun. The critterboy was quite the entertainer once he came out of his shell. Here a few pics of the day. Please note, swimming was involved, but magically and thankfully, the camera stayed inside. (Well, our camera did anyway--I'm sure there are some horribly unflattering pictures of me floating around out there somewhere!)
All the kids -- my little princesa is the itty bitty one trying to escape in the front row
Moms & kids--1st half of the group
Moms & kids--2nd half of group

It was great to meet so many fellow bloggers and forum friends in real life. I had no idea if I would recognize all the great ladies whose blogs I follow, but I did! We look forward to keeping in touch with many of those who attended, as several live just a few miles from us. Small world . . . Thanks again for hosting, Jana and Rod--you guys are wonderful hosts!
Then Sunday, as the previous post mentioned, was our 12th anniversary. My parents came over to wrangle the kiddos while we went to an early dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. The food was wonderful and it was nice to be just the two of us for a couple of hours. Weird, but nice. It's amazing how fast we start to miss those wild critters we have! Oh, and another Matthewism: "Happy Anna-grocery!" He told us both "Happy Anna-grocery" about a hundred times yesterday. No matter how many times we said "versary", he still said "grocery"!! So stinkin' cute. I love these little ones of mine!
Other than being completely sleep deprived (if you know me well, you know that's not a good thing--I'm one crabby chick when I'm tired and no one is exempt from my grumpy mood!) we had a great weekend.A while back I promised a video clip of the hip swivels and of my sweet baby girl trying to crawl. Not much to see, but cute nonetheless. Baby girl in action is even cuter than still pics :) Enjoy!

The videos are so cute. She is going to be crawling soon.
Let me know the next time there is a Guate gathering. Johanna and I would drive 6 hours to meet some others.

Hey GIRLY...It was great to meet you and your PRINCESA too. You kids are too cute and it was fun to get to hang out and I hope to see you again really soon! By the way Speaking of CCF...on July 30th you can get any cheesecake for $1.50...the price it was when the business started...yes I will be at our CCF that day. HUGS
Hey can you send me Auntie G's email address so I can add her to the get together list
THANKS
I see Jagger and Kya Blue! We met Candy while in Guat for our pick up trip. We were at our pink apt together. Too fun that you have that great support group. Your little lady bug reminds me so much of Bella at that age, only she is much tinier. I seem to have gotten one of the big Guats. HIp swivels, love them. How is she doing with day care now? Blessings, Susie
That was so fun to meet you!! What a small world! I have always wondered if I would ever randomly meet any blog friends- I should have guessed it would be in Babies R Us. :)
Anyway, we need to keep in touch now that we have met and live so close to each other!
